Toots and Magoo Addition 10/05/08

Here are a few recent photographs of Toots and Magoo's lovely product. I focused on utilizing natural light to accentuate the bold colors of the objects and make the photographs sing. The most challenging shot was of the acrobats in the store window. The space was very narrow and I ended up shooting between an armoire and the side of the window, standing on my tip toes while balancing on my pelican case to get the angle. The light outside shifted back and forth between very bright (which back-lit the acrobats) to a cloudy grey that I wanted to use to neutralize the color of the street. I held my breath while I shot these photographs with my Hasselblad camera using 400 speed Kodak NC and a tripod.
